A one year course- dates coming soon..
Awakening to profound potential and healing, engaging with conscious living for intimate connections, social change and restorative justice.
Somatic movement training focuses on experiential practice and the intelligence of the body knowing.
It combines science with creativity, spirituality and the healing arts.
The areas of study, Soma and psyche, are as follows:
1) Somatic education -the study of the self from the perspective of one’s inner lived experience, encompassing the dimensions of body, psyche, spirit and deep body listening. Integral to this is the awareness of self, the environment and other, an alchemical process allowing for transformation, connection and health.
2) Attuning presence to the emerging moment
3) Spirituality rooted through the body and sacred connections
4) Experiencing trauma recovery, release and transformation
5) Tools and resources for self care
6) Nature Connections & Kinship with Earth's Inhabitants: Eco- Somatics, Animism
7) Bodywork and the benefits of healthy healing touch
9) Body consciousness, soul consciousness and Mindful Movement
10) Experiential anatomy- emotional/ physical/ cultural, body systems and the elements
11) Dance Therapy and Embodied Psychology- working with the affects system.
12) Movement re-patterning
An inquiry into the nature of being human and these areas of study, may allow you to see what area you are more pulled towards with further resources provided to support your learning journey.
Study and practice will draw upon my years of experience within the following:
